Beau masque ancien, il aurait été récolté en 1938
Une étiquette à l'intérieur, avec cette inscription:
" Type de masques Baluena utilisé pour l'investiture des chefs chez les Baluena trouvés à Dilolo. Masculin. Dilolo. 15 mars 1938 "
Les Lwena sont un petit peuple Bantou (par le nombre) vivant principalement en Angola, mais aussi au Congo Rdc. Culturellement, artistiquement, ils sont proches des Tshokwe

Beautiful old mask, it would have been found in 1938
A label inside, with this inscription:
"Type of masks Baluena used for the investiture of the chiefs by the Baluena found in Dilolo, Male, Dilolo, March 15th, 1938"
The Lwena are a small Bantu people (by the number) living mainly in Angola, but also in Congo DRC.
Culturally, artistically, they are close to the Chokwé
