Très beau masque, probablement Bali ou Ndaaka
bois sculpté et pigment, avec les yeux et la bouche en demi-lune et décor de taches peintes sur tout le visage
Un masque très similaire a été vendu en 2020 par
Lyon & Turnbell, Edinburgh (African & Oceanic Art, Antiquities and Natural History)
Le peuple Bali (ou Baali) vit dans la province de l'Ituri, juste au nord des Kumu - Komo
Un peu au nord-ouest, habitent les Ndaka (ou Ndaaka) auxquels ils sont liés et artistiquement fortement influencés.

Carved wood and pigment, with half-moon eyes and mouth and decoration of painted spots all over the face
A very similar mask was sold in 2020 by

The Baali (or Baali) people live in Ituri province, in the north of the Kumu - Komo area
A little to the northwest, live the Ndaka (or Ndaaka) to whom they are linked and strongly influenced.
