A l'instar de leurs voisins Songye, les Luba ont créé ces masques striés très reconnaissables et recherchés
Les Luba sont un grand peuple de l'est de la RDC. Leurs sièges à caryatides, porteuses de coupes, bâtons de chefs, porte-flèches, herminettes et statues d'ancêtres sont très célèbres et parmi les objets les plus prisés dans l'Art Africain.

Patric Claes est un marchand belge d'Art Africain, situé à Bruxelles C'est un spécialiste des arts traditionnels du Congo.
Participant au dernier Cultures Bruneaf en 2019 au Sablon, Bruxelles, il a également organisé une exposition de Masques Mbangu Pende (masques de maladie) en 2017

Rare Kifwebe Large Mask

Like their neighbors Songye, the Luba created these highly recognizable and sought-after striated masks

The Luba are a great people in eastern DRC.
Their caryatid seats, bearing cups, chiefs' sticks, arrow holders, adzes and ancestral statues are very famous and among the most valued objects in African Art.

Patric Claes is a Belgian dealer of African Art in Brussels
He's is a specialist for the Congo traditionnal Arts
Exhibition in Cultures Bruneaf Brussels in 2019 

He made also an exhibition of MBANGU PENDE (sickness Pende masks) in 2017.
