Kalumba, né en 1940 est petit-fils de sculpteur traditionnel, son père était ivoirier.
Après ses humanités, il étudia les Beaux-Arts à Lubumbashi puis la dinanderie à Maredsous - Maredret, en Belgique avant d'introduire la technique au Zaïre (actuelle Rép. Dém. du Congo)
Les deux sont signées, une est datée 1981.

Kalumba, born in 1940 is the grandson of a traditional sculptor, his father was also a sculptor, but on ivory.
After secondary school, he studied Fine Arts in Lubumbashi and then went to learn the copperware in Maredsous - Maredret, in Belgium before to come back and introducing the technique in Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo)
Both are signed, one is dated 1981.
