Ce type de masque est le plus important de la royauté Kuba puisqu'il  incarne la personne du Roi. Les masques ornés d'une trompe d'éléphant, comme celui-ci sont les véritables masques Mukyeem, les masques Moshambwooy (Mwash a Mbooy) en sont dépourvus.

Riches décorations, à base de perles, de coquillages, de fibres végétales et de fourrure

MUKYEEM Moshambwooy - Mwash to Mbooy

This type of mask is the most important of the Kuba royalty because it represents the person of the King.
Masks decorated with an elephant's trunk, like this one are the real Mukyeem masks, the masks Moshambwooy (Mwash a Mbooy) are deprived of it.
Rich decorations, made of pearls, seashells, vegetable fibers and fur.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN:  DRC Congo (ex Zaïre ex Belgian Congo). 
MATERIAL: Textile, Vegetal fibers, shells (cauris), beads, fur 
DIMENSIONS: About 11 1/2 Inches high 
Height of the velvet part: about 6 inches
inside diameter: about 7 3/4 inches
At the widest: about 13 3/4 inches
CONDITION: Correct but not perfect
