Les Mankishi (pluriel de "Nkishi") sont des figures de pouvoir,
Ils servent de relais avec les esprits des morts, très présents dans la religion ...
Ils sont utilisés dans des rites "magiques" servant l'intérêt et le bien-être d'un individu ou de la communauté entière. (Art et pouvoir dans la Savane d'Afrique Centrale,  p. 72-73).

The Mankishi (plural of "Nkishi") are figures of power,
They were used as relays with the spirits of the dead people very present in the religion.. They are used in "magic" rites serving the interest and well-being of an Individual or the entire community. (Art et pouvoir dans la Savane d'Afrique Centrale, p. 72-73).
