Belle patine
La stylisation du visage et de la silhouette donne esthétiquement aux statues Metoko un irrésistible  côté "petit robot"

Installés et sédentarisés dans la région du moyen Lwalaba, en plein coeur de la forêt équatoriale, les Metoko seraient les descendants de migrants Lega (d'après la tradition orale des Lega eux-mêmes)

A l'instar des Lega, leur vie politique et sociale est organisée autour d’une association initiatique, le BUKOTA, que l'on peut comparer au BWAMI de leurs ancêtres.
Ils sont aussi culturellement très proches de leurs voisins Lengola qui pratiquent le même culte qu'eux (Voir Felix page 110)

Fine METOKO Figure.

Settled in the heart of the equatorial forest, in the region of the Middle Lwalaba, the Metoko would be the descendants of Lega migrants (according to the oral tradition of the Lega themselves)

Like the Lega, their political and social life is organized around an initiatory association, the BUKOTA, which can be compared to the BWAMI of their ancestors.
They are also culturally very close to their neighbors Lengola who practice the same cult as them (See Felix page 110)
