I've only seen two similar pieces, presented as "Rare and ancient sabers probably used during ceremonies by Poro initiates. The "handle" is surmounted by a stylized sculpted head, the "blade" is engraved with geometric patterns that may seek to imitate a sheath " (Arts primitifs Arts d'Asie - Cornette de Saint-Cyr - 28/02/2001 - Experts Marie-Christine Daffos and Jean-Claude Estournel, lots 140 and 141)
According to the label, barely readable, this piece comes from a German (or Austrian or even Swiss) collection
