Beautiful little iginga, a bust on a stylized pedestal
The eyes are in cowrie shapes, shells traditionally used in this region of the country. This kind of figurine was used as part of the Bwami cult during scenes illustrating the aphorisms of which the Lega are fond. They were kept in wicker bags, many applications of oils gave them these incomparable colors.
