Rare LUBOKO (Pestle of Divination)
Among the Western Luba Kalundwe and Kanyok, these cephalomorphic divining pestles were used by diviners to grind kaolin and to communicate with spirits.
The Luba are a great people of the DRC
Their caryatid seats, cup holders, chiefs' sticks, arrow holders, adzes and cult statuettes are very famous and among the most prized objects in African Art.
