The shoulders are flared
The face is darker than the rest of the statue, a characteristic sometimes found among the Eastern Luba, among the Hemba, as well.
It is said to have been sculpted in a workshop in the Lukuga region.
Another peculiarity is the representation of the hairstyle, seen from the front, which gives the statue an almost solar appearance.
