Excerpt: " Finally, certain types of statuettes were loaded with a magical substance, called bijimba, generally placed in the head, the place of dreams, which fully activated their powers of divination: this is the case of a couple with a rare form preserved at the MRAC of Tervuren, one of whose statuettes has the face and arms turned towards the back, while the torso and legs are on the other side, towards the front (fig. 26), materializing the inversions of the spiritual and material worlds (Nooter and Roberts 2007: 50)"
