Beautiful pair of statues from the Ubangi region
BANDA or ZANDE
According to their former owner, a private collector, these statuettes are Zande
But according to the literature, they could just as well be BANDA, in the style of the Mobaye region (see Grootaers p69, 176, 192, 200)
