Superb geometrization
Virtually nothing is known about the use of these statues , which are made up of several pieces and can be dismantled. Joseph Cornet and Marc Léo Félix have suggested that they are a representation of the founding ancestor of the tribe.
The Lengola are a Bantu forest people of Central Africa, settled in the center-east from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), They are geographically and culturally close to the Metoko. Like them, they practice the Bukota cult, a semi-secret society which organizes the social structure and ensures the stability of the community
