The Tabwa are a people living in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia, on Lake Tanganyika. They are heavily culturally influenced by their Luba and Hemba neighbors.
They are known artistically for their ancestor statues, fertility dolls, anthropomorphic helmet masks, buffalo masks, high-backed chairs, axes, scepters and headrests.
